Chaos Armor is set to be the star of the show in Diablo 4 Season 10, opening the door for builds that have never been possible before. As Diablo 4 Season 10 starts and players begin to get their hands on new Chaos Armor, it’s likely that powerful combinations of standard Uniques and their Chaos counterparts will be discovered. This means that players will want to dive right into obtaining Chaos Armor as soon as they can, but this may be more difficult given one caveat that comes with the seasonal mechanic.
Some of the best combinations of Chaos Armor in Diablo 4 Season 10 have the potential to define the season’s meta. As such, players will likely be clamoring to obtain these key parts of the season’s best builds so that they can tackle endgame activities like the Pit of the Artificer, the reworked Infernal Hordes, and Lair Bosses. However, players won’t have the luxury of simply trading for the Chaos Armor they need, meaning they’ll have to find all the Chaos Armor for their build themselves.
Diablo 4 Players Will Have Several Ways to Get Chaos Armor, But Not By Trading
How to Get Chaos Armor in Diablo 4 Season 10
- Chaos Rifts
- Infernal Hordes
- Bartuc Drops
Like Diablo 4‘s other rare gear, Chaos Armor will largely be obtainable as drops from participating in certain activities, like Infernal Hordes with the new boss, Bartuc, Lord of Chaos, and the new Chaos Rifts that will be appearing around Sanctuary. The most straightforward way to obtain Chaos Armor might also be the toughest. Players are guaranteed a Chaos Armor drop from Bartuc on Torment 3 and 4 difficulty, but challenging him requires players to spend 666 Burning Aether after completing an Infernal Hordes run, on top of actually having to defeat a difficult boss.
Players also have the chance to find Chaos Armor as drops from Infernal Hordes rewards chests, even if they don’t opt to battle Bartuc. Additionally, sealing Chaos Rifts found in Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons can also yield Chaos Armor drops. However, players will likely still need to farm these activities for their desired Chaos Armor, regardless of which source they choose.
Chaos Armor does not drop from all the same places as standard Uniques, meaning Diablo 4 players won’t be able to farm Lair Bosses for Chaos Armor like they can with their standard counterparts.
Diablo 4 Makes Chaos Armor Account Bound in Season 10
Typically, players who need a certain Unique to complete their build can simply trade for these items, provided they haven’t been Masterworked yet. However, this strategy won’t be possible with Chaos Armor in Season 10, as these pieces of gear are confirmed to be bound to the player’s account. Like with Diablo 4‘s Mythics, account-bound items aren’t tradeable, meaning that players will need to put in the hard work necessary to grind for the Chaos Armor they will need to complete their Season 10 build.
It’s likely that this grind will be worth it, since Chaos Armor is sure to be a game-changer for the Diablo 4 Season 10 meta. While these pieces of gear may not individually be as powerful as a Mythic item, the synergy potential they have when working in tandem with other Uniques could be just as crucial for certain meta builds. Part of the fun of any given Diablo 4 season is the hunt for the perfect pieces of gear, and players who enjoy that type of activity will have an even better reason to engage in it in Season 10. For players who would rather trade for their ideal build gear, it is still worth investing the time and energy into farming for Chaos Armor purely for how fresh this mechanic should make the game feel.
