NBA star Kevin Durant purchased a minority stake in 2025 UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 side announced. Qatar Sports Investments, PSG's majority shareholder, signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Phoenix Suns superstar.

“Under the terms of the partnership, Durant – via his media and investment company Boardroom, co-founded with long-time business partner Rich Kleiman – will acquire a direct minority stake in the club,” PSG said in a statement.

Durant, 36, is a two-time NBA champion and one of the league's top power forwards. Last summer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, he became the first four-time Gold medalist. The announcement from PSG arrives amid talks between the NBA, FIBA, and other organizations about the potential addition of a new league in Europe. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“It is an honor to partner with QSI and be a shareholder in Paris Saint-Germain – a club and city that is deeply close to my heart,” Durant said in comments provided by PSG. “This club has big plans, and I look forward to being part of the next phase of growth and exploring new investment opportunities with QSI.”

As a part of the deal, Boardroom Sports Holdings – Durant’s personal financial structure, which contains investments with multiple major sports teams and leagues – will join with QSI through partnerships on commercial, investment, and content production.

PSG added that Durant's support will aid their diversification and growth strategy both domestically and abroad. He will also add a level of expertise on the club's multi-sport strategy, including consulting on potential future plans in basketball.

“Together with Kevin, we look forward to developing ambitious initiatives that will drive the continued global growth of Paris Saint-Germain and QSI,” said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

PSG's portfolio already includes men's and women's soccer, youth soccer, handball, and judo.
